Doe-Re-Mi Lavender Farm had its beginnings in 2009 when, looking for a place to both retire from the military and raise our son (William) in the country, we (Ann & Rob) purchased the thirty acre site. Located about 40 miles southwest of San Antonio, the property featured a nice ranch house, three-sided barn, fences, and an old windmill. Apart from a two acre area surrounding the house and a five acre pasture, the rest of the land was covered with a mostly impenetrable mix of cactus and mesquite. We soon discovered that most everything on our little farm was designed to poke, sting, cut, bite, skewer, poison , penetrate, scratch, and in general inflict large amounts of pain and suffering. Not to worry though, we set out to enjoy the “safe” area around the house as much as possible. The rest is history.
